Marching and Protesting
Protesting and marching was a strategy that women used during the Women's Rights Movement.
WE'VE COME A LONG WAY...
This picture shows a women holding a sign protesting. She awaits to be granted her deserved rights, and hopes for President Woodrow Wilson to change his opinion on the matter, and gove women their rights. She, and many other women hope for justice, and protesting is one way they hoped to accomplish their goal.
PETITION BOOTHS
These were one of the booth set up where women hoped to collect votes. They wanted to convince and help change the opinion of some men and hoped people would vote and finally earn the right to vote
LEADERS of the SUFFRAGE MOVEMENT
These were some fo the women to lead the Women's Suffrage Movement. The picture was taken in 1895. Susan B. Anthony (seated in center, wearing spectacles) and the Reverend Anna Howard Shaw (standing at the left with her hand on a chair) met with a group of Utah woman suffrage leaders, including Dr. Martha Hughes Cannon (standing farthest left) (Utah State Historical Society).
POSTERS USED AGAINST MOVEMENT
This is one of the posters created against the Women's Suffrage Movement. The poster claims that the movements would be a haslle for all men and families.
LEADERS of the SUFFRAGE MOVEMENT
One of the leaders of the Women's Suffrage Movement were Elizabeth Cady Stanton. She worked to create an organization which would help women in this protest.
